# Joining an organization

> Accept an invitation, sign in or create an account, and find the work you've been invited to review.

Open the invitation sent to your email address to join your team's Artor organization.
You can sign in with an existing account or create one as you accept.

## If you already have an account

### Open the invitation

Check the organization, inviter, and email address shown on the invitation page.

### Sign in

If you're signed out, sign in with the invited email address. It is filled in for you;
use a magic link or your password.

### Accept

Choose **Accept invitation**. Artor opens the organization's Spaces page.

If the invitation includes a Shared Space, you'll be added to it too, provided it is still
available and the inviter still manages it (as its Space admin or an org admin).

## If you don't have an account yet

Choose a password and press **Create account and accept**. You'll be signed in and added
to the organization, without a separate email-verification step. The welcome flow then asks
for your name and an optional profile picture.

## Signed in as the wrong account

Compare the signed-in address with the invited address shown on the page. An invitation
must be accepted using the address it was sent to.

Choose **Log out and sign in as the invited account**, or **Log out and create a new account**
if that address doesn't have an Artor account yet. Then return to accepting the invitation.

## Your first sign-in: a short onboarding

If your account already has a name, choose **Jump in** on the welcome card. Otherwise, enter
your name and optionally add a [profile picture](https://artor.app/docs/avatars).

Publishers also see installation guidance, including a prompt for their AI coding tool.
Reviewers can go straight to reviewing in the browser; no terminal or installation is needed.

If you skip setup, find it later under **Getting started → Install Artor** in the sidebar.

## The Getting started checklist

- **Publishers:** install Artor, publish a prototype, and leave a comment.
- **Reviewers:** open a prototype and leave a comment.

You can dismiss the checklist when you're done. An admin can change your seat later.

## If your Space add-on didn't happen

You may join the organization without being added to the invitation's Shared Space if the
Space was deleted or the inviter no longer manages it. Ask a current Space admin or an org admin to add
you. Resending the invitation doesn't change its Space.

**Note:** 
  Any member can invite a reviewer. Only org admins can choose a publisher seat or admin role.
