Acceptable Use Policy

1. About this policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may not do with the Artor service (the "Service"). It is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given there. If you violate this AUP, we may act as described in Section 5.

This policy applies to everything you put into or do with the Service — prototypes, source code, environment variables, mock datasets, comments, public share links, and your use of the dashboard and CLI.

2. No real or sensitive personal data

Artor is for prototyping against staging and mock data. You must not:

  • upload, inject, paste, or process real production data or the personal data of real end users anywhere in the Service;
  • upload sensitive data, including payment-card numbers, financial-account credentials, government identifiers, biometric data, precise geolocation, or special categories of data under data-protection law (such as health, racial or ethnic, religious, or sexual-orientation data);
  • upload protected health information or any data whose handling requires a separate compliance regime we do not offer.

Use staging credentials, never production secrets — your prototype's own code can read the environment variables and inputs you provide.

3. Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to store, host, build, or share content that:

  • is illegal or promotes illegal activity, or that you do not have the right to use;
  • is child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or sexualizes minors — we will remove it, preserve records as required, and report it to the appropriate authority (in the United States, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A);
  • infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or incites violence or discrimination against people based on protected characteristics;
  • is fraudulent or deceptive, including phishing pages, fake login screens, or scams;
  • contains malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, or other malicious or destructive code, or is designed to harvest credentials.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • attack or probe the Service or any system — no unauthorized access, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing without our written permission, denial-of-service, or attempts to defeat authentication, the closed-garden access model, or tenant isolation;
  • access another organization's prototypes, data, or previews, or attempt to escalate privileges or impersonate another user;
  • abuse resources — no crypto-mining, no using the Service primarily as bulk file storage or a content-delivery network, and no workloads that place a disproportionate or abusive load on the Service or are designed to evade limits;
  • circumvent rate limits, quotas, access controls, or usage restrictions, or use the Service to relay traffic to or scan non-public systems;
  • scrape or harvest the Service in an automated way beyond the documented CLI and API, or resell, rent, or sublicense access to the Service;
  • send spam or unsolicited or abusive messages through any feature of the Service;
  • misuse public sharing — do not use unlisted public share links to distribute anything prohibited by this AUP or to circumvent the members-only model for harmful ends;
  • violate trade-sanctions or export-control laws, or use the Service where prohibited by law.

5. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion and where lawful:

  • investigate suspected violations (you agree to cooperate);
  • remove or disable content or previews, including using the public-share kill switch and operator tools built into the Service;
  • suspend or terminate accounts or organizations, immediately where the violation is serious (for example, CSAM, an active attack, or a clear legal risk);
  • report unlawful activity to law enforcement and preserve relevant records.

Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure a less-serious violation before suspending access, and — except where the law or safety requires immediate action — notify the affected user and allow a response. We are not liable for actions taken in good faith to enforce this AUP.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe content or activity on the Service violates this AUP, report it to abuse@artor.app. Include the share link or other details so we can investigate.

7. Copyright complaints and counter-notices

We will respond to valid copyright complaints and will operate a repeat-infringer policy (we may terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe).

  • To report infringement, send our designated agent under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") — [DMCA designated agent contact — to be appointed and registered with the U.S. Copyright Office before launch] — a notice that includes: your signature (physical or electronic); identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is on the Service (for example, a share link); your contact details; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
  • Counter-notice. If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with the equivalent statutory contents; where the law allows, we may restore the material if the complainant does not pursue the matter.
  • Other jurisdictions. Outside the United States we act on valid legal notices and court orders under local law. For Brazil, we comply with the Marco Civil da Internet (Lei 12.965/2014), including acting on judicial removal orders and on extrajudicial notice for non-consensual intimate images (Art. 21), and — where practical and lawful — we notify the affected user and allow a counter-notice and restoration.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP to address new abuse patterns or legal requirements. Material changes take effect on reasonable notice, and the "last updated" date below shows the current version.
