Your account

Your account

You can change the email your account signs in with, delete your own Artor account, and if you own an organization you can delete that too. Deletion is never instant or one-click-irreversible: it schedules a 30-day grace window first, so an accidental or second-thought deletion is recoverable.

Changing your email

Go to Settings → Account and open the Email field. Enter the new address and confirm.

  • If your account has a password, you re-enter it here. This confirms that the change is yours.
  • We send one confirmation link to the new address. Your email stays the same until that link is opened — until then, nothing has changed and you can still sign in with your old address.
  • Your old address gets a short heads-up notice (no link, nothing to click) so that if you didn’t start this, you find out immediately.

The confirmation link is applied the first time it’s opened, so treat it like any sign-in link: open it yourself, from the new inbox, and only when you meant to change your email. If you change your mind before opening it, just don’t — your address is untouched until the link is used.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. To avoid accidents you have to retype your email and tick a confirmation box before the button enables.

When you confirm:

  • You’re signed out everywhere immediately and can’t sign back in while the deletion is pending.
  • Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after the grace window (30 days by default).
  • We email you a confirmation with a one-click cancel link, in case it wasn’t you.

After the grace window your account and its data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Changed your mind? Two ways back

Any time before the grace window ends, you can cancel the deletion and keep your account:

From the login page

Try to sign in as usual. Because the account is pending deletion, you’ll see a panel that says when it’s scheduled to be deleted, with a Cancel deletion & sign in button. Click it and you’re back in.

Enter your email and password to cancel the deletion and sign in.

The confirmation email we sent has a cancel link. Open it and click Restore my account. No sign-in is needed. The link stops working after you cancel deletion or the grace window ends.

These options cancel account deletion. If your account is suspended, contact Artor support.

Deleting your organization

If you’re the organization owner, Settings → Organization → Delete organization schedules the whole org for deletion. Only the owner can do this — an admin isn’t enough, because it removes everyone’s access and all the org’s prototypes, versions, and comments.

Like account deletion it uses a grace window and a retype-to-confirm step. The difference: while it’s pending, only Artor support can restore an organization — there’s no self-serve undo for an org. Contact support within the window if you change your mind.

A ban is not a deletion

A suspended account cannot be restored through the deletion-recovery options. If your sign-in page says your account is suspended, contact Artor support.
