Prefer to set up Artor from your coding agent? Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or any AI tool with terminal access — it installs the CLI, teaches the agent the artor commands, signs you in, and publishes a first version. It pauses whenever it needs you (browser login, a name).

Set up Artor for me in this project.

1. Install the latest Artor CLI globally: run `npm i -g artor-cli@latest`.
   It's published to public npm. If my default npm registry is a private
   company feed, add `--registry=https://registry.npmjs.org/`.
2. Install the Artor skill so you know how to drive the CLI next time:
   - If you are Claude Code, run `artor install-claude-plugin`.
   - Any other tool (Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot, …),
     run `artor install-skills`.
3. Run `artor login`, then STOP and let me approve the login in the browser.
   Confirm with `artor whoami`.
4. Link this folder to a new prototype with `artor init`.
   Ask me what to name it.
5. Build and publish the first version with `artor publish`,
   then run `artor open` and show me the live URL.

Do the steps in order and pause whenever you need my input.

Prerequisites

An Artor account: request access at artor.app and sign in.
Node 22 or newer and the Artor CLI: follow the install guide if needed.

Sign in to the dashboard and create an organization in Settings. Your team’s work belongs to that organization. Spaces control which teammates can access it; public links let you share selected prototypes with people outside the team.
Install the CLI and authorize your machine:


npm i -g artor-cli@latest
artor login    # opens your browser to approve access
artor whoami   # confirms you're signed in

Publish your first prototype

From your prototype’s project folder:


artor init --name "My Prototype"          # links this folder to a new project
artor publish -m "First cut of the flow"  # publishes it (the note is optional) and prints the live URL
artor open                                # opens it in the browser

That’s it: your prototype is live and accessible to teammates who have access to its Space. The optional -m note becomes this version’s changelog — a short “what changed” your team sees beside the prototype.

artor init also adds the in-page review widget to your project so reviewers can comment directly on the running prototype. It only activates on Artor preview URLs.

Send the URL to your team. They open it in a browser and comment directly on the running prototype — each comment anchored to the element they clicked — and you see their feedback attached to the exact version they looked at, not a newer one.

Once your first prototype is live, admins can give the team shared AI instructions, starter templates, sample data, and private packages.
